There was once upon a time a Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf (everyone is mouth bashing him, he was only hungry!) but here the wolf part is done by Daddy.
A little girl had a puppy dog
which she loved very much,
and a drunken, beating father
that didn’t want the dog
around the house.
The little girl was at school
when the puppy dog ran away,
to live forever in a farm
her father said.
A little girl had a pussycat
which she loved very much,
and also an angry father
that didn’t wanted pussycat
around the house.
The little girl was at school
when also the cat one day,
went to live in a farm
her father said.
A little girl had a doll
which she loved very much,
it could say “mamma, mamma”
but never uttered one “dad”
around the house.
The little girl was at school
when her doll went her way,
to live forever in a farm
her father said.
A little girl had a father
which she didn’t liked very much,
he never said I love you
he was that kind of man.
The little girl was at school
when police asked for her dad;
with a mischievous smile
the little girl informed them
that he went to live forever…
in a farm, she said.
i like the clever element of this poem, compelling the reader to consider the innuendo of an abusive father ... he certainly must have been more than just an angry man ...
Gives me the willies!
Somehow, your flow in this, forced me to stop and vision them both...her pets, her doll, her mama...Sad, ya made me feel, Georg...because, this does happen!
I also thought of a poem I wrote, sorta similar..."Back to Dead",
I had to put a funny edge to it, just to keep my head elsewhere. Horrid!
But a great pen, once again! :)

A very well planned story...and the ending was excellent!!!!
You do have a way of provoking sad memories, though this at least had a somewhat happy ending. You hold so much love in your heart still, to share with the world. God bless....
If he would have just had a revelation of love and respect and caring and nurturing, perhaps things would have turned out differently for this cad. Oh the satire of it. The difference between what might be expected and what actually came to pass leaves this reader more than satisfied.
OH, never did I expect the ending...how cruel a man is to destroy the loves of his child. How sad a write Georg but for it ripped at my heart. Your words were so vivid and truely Superb. Love and hugs, Bonnie
