I follow the course of lifes broad river And wade in water fraught with rock Cool currents try to trip my feet Still struggling on, I stride The dawn of days impending light Draws my eyes toward new hope And leaves behind my lived up life Each step ahead toward new times Clothed I am in cloaks of courage Steadied by loves lasting length Onward, onward toward tomorrow A wake my only sign of passing. I am a ghost, a passing whim Ideas on a breeze that blows Invisible except to those see The value of validity
