As Al-Anon teaches me to live in the day instead of tomorrow, I am beginning to see the value of each moment.

Whenever I think I’ve figured out
The way my future points
The day has ways to turn it round
And change my plans intent

So every day I try to live
As though it is my last
I will see the sun arising high
And watch the moonlight pass

Today is all I really have
I’ll thrive within its moments
And hold each day a memory saved
Until I close my eyes in sleep

When all my days have reached a close
I won’t regret this plan to live
Each day in its own special way
My time enjoyed, today, today!
