It’s all I want, I want no more
When offered love upon a plate
I take a bit and leave the rest
And let the scraps fall to the floor
For love has left a sour taste
upon my taste buds, living place
and I spit out the bitterness
and hope for dreamed desserts instead
But as with all I learn in life
Its not a fairness I will see
Instead I find a sadder drink
And these sips color days and ways
But still my wish does sprout each day
In spite of willful, sad disclaims
Its this that keeps my sane inside
And keeps me trying new entrée’s
