Poem Artwork

Beyond the near horizon
there lies a world unseen.
perhaps a hope, a dream, a wish
and maybe a dread for some
the horizon behind so recently traveled
has stories both grand and mean
and roads that are familiar
but roads ahead lie shrouded
in timeless, misty, mystery
to find a path one must push on
and step ahead in blindness
The brave ones are those bold enough
who march to what’s not known
while, others lie a whimpering
without a plan to step
they let time drag them forward
looking back at past regrets
so whether one faces the new horizon
with courage or with fear
it arrives on time and as it should
its only us who makes a choice
to make it the best or cry and wail

I love this write, Sandi, so beautifully imaged in picture and verse. The first three lines set the stage for thought and inspiration. Well done.

(((HUGS))), love and Merry Christmas,

Karla.
