A pair was once given a plan
To care and be together forever
The pair thought no one could ever have
The power to rend them asunder
And yet a voice so silky soft
With a convincing argument that took
The glue that bonded the pair together
And soon the two surrendered
Now was the reason for this sad breakage,
the fault of the silky voice or the glue?
I think perhaps the fault of both
The glue without the strength to hold
And silky voice that dissolved resolve.
Now these two are worlds apart
still the silky voice remains between
each feeling the lonely empty place
where once they clung so tightly
