what if I were gone tomorrow
no more
no more posts
no more comments
no more of my silliness
no more
me
what if
the big what if
where’d that josie girl go
look at what we have here
we have a community of writers
that
care
about each other
phenomenal this
really
so I figure that anyone of us could
just
disappear
poof
gone without a trace
and at first we might think
well something’s up
computers broke or no time or whatever
then as time wore on
we might leave a message in someone’s
den
have you heard from so and so
and
what if
they died
what if
I died
valid concern this what if
so I figure it like this
so what
I mean none of us get guaranteed
forever
we only get right now to hang out really
so
why freak about what if’s
if I were gone tomorrow
just never showed my face again
that would be
okay
really
cause
we had This day
I got to play with you
Today
and that’s really all any of us can hope for
I don’t have time to worry about
what if
if I were gone tomorrow
know
I loved being here
with
you
today

So many 'what ifs' in life--and, certainly, you would be missed if the if became true...
The closing lines to this are wonderful...thanks for sharing...
I enjoyed this write! But I sure do thank God for salvation and everlasting life! :)

Great one, Josie. The idea is to loosen the imagination. There are too many what ifs in the world. Just write because you enjoy it and there is an audience that gives you feedback. That's all that counts.
yes I'd be sad, but the reality for all of is that... we go on...no matter who what where when...so it is true we have but the moment... so lets make it good;-)

Oh yes, we would be missed but more than that I feel you are telling us to live each day as though it were our last. Pack in as much as possible. Write that extra poem, those lines of prose, that letter to a friend. Don't let the inevitable catch you unawares. Leave part of you behind for those who know you now and those who come after and read about you.
Great poem.
Thank you.

Hi Jo,
Seems this is sort of a process for all of us I think--boiling it all down to being
okay--no matter what. Pictures of it like this help a lot to keep out of the maze of "Important Details." Thanks Vicky
we are not promised the next second...we could vanish...just...like...that. while you have time, forgive enemies, correct your mistakes, and let others know you love them...september 11 should have reminded you of that...thank you, josie, for this awesome write...and know...i love you. thanks for being there for me, for being my friend, and for your kind reviews. 11+++!!! (((HUGS))) and much love, karla. (and the den would be a much sadder place without thee)
if you weren't here tomorrow, we'd all be sadder for it; we love you too much here at the den, josie!! if you are having problems, i hope god sees you through them; he is always there, no matter what you are going through or no matter how bad things seem; "he will never leave you or forsake you", it says in the bible. love, your friend, karen lynn. (((((((HUGS))))))) to you, josie girl!!
Thanks for making me think Miz Josie…
