waning hours
of a year I could of done without

that it was All bad
just enough of it
that I wished I could of
skipped it

it came it ravaged

it’s time
time for the new
and all the hope
and all the moping
is done

with my chin
up
can I pretend
because the calendar
says New Year
that all the garbage from the Old year
won’t follow and stink up
all the New minutes
of my life
move on
let it go
accept your life as is
make the most of what you have

diminishing into
nothing
