no one.  for I accept it as stone.
as air.  as water.  as light.  the night
holds no terror for me, for you came to me,
the first time, in the darkness.
a silhouette of shameless beauty,
sharing herself with someone open
to the probability of love.
and the law is love.
to live without love is a prison,
grey stone walls and metal bars
that do not bend and do not mend hearts
shattered in past escapes from the cell
that mocks Hell as a loveless place.
full of the cold baptisms of mockery
and the tick tock crockery of delusion.
I am given to the law.  the law of love.
