Sink or swim, an"All Wet" Journey

If you swim in the river of life, close friends are hard to find, they often judge way ahead, as your journey seems so unkind. In their proximity, you should be, ,they feel, left behind. They tell you things like, if you'd stayed ,you'd have all us, to lean on,and support you too, you wouldn't have to be so weak, to claim you need a God, just rely on us, and get off that greyhound bus ,that takes you there and over the hill, and round and round , why don't you just, for once in life, why don't you just stay still??  You've got a God , but don't you see, he replaces the us and we, who tangible are,  can hold you fast, if you'd just land and enjoy the past. It all makes sense to them of the world , who watch the current go by, sometimes getting their feet wet, but most times safe and dry. Well although it hurts to hear. to be judged where're I go. If they only knew, that He is why. they seem to miss me so. I tell them of His pure sweet love, His call to this wayward son. and all they hear is when I'm gone, they're not the only ones, to get to hold and love a soul from whom some light they seem to see, but without the Lord they'd never, even, take a look at me. So on the current of His heart, I travel to and fro, With helmut and breastplate on, to battle I must go. There's just no telling where He'll send, this goofball in front of you, but since he spoke thru a real live ass, he can surely use this ass too.Yes, every once in a while, He uses and honors me, to shine some light, on an eclipsed land, that used to, in Him, be free, to worsip him without restraint,  in Him to always be. But now they haven't got the time,: to thine ownself they'll be true . And if you give them half a chance, they'll try their best to see, that you like every one else, should in man's wisdom be. But my Lord tells me not, to lean on my own point of view, for road is narrow and the prize is Him and His awesome spirit too. So all the wisdom of this place. is diametrically opposed, to what I know the truth to be, so onto it I'll continue to hold, and with a raft or without, His call leaves me little doubt, that in the river I'll always stay, and swim both night and day, cause once you break the surface, you find that,  just like you, there's other fishes swimming there and to them, just like to me. To swim in His pure, Holy water is just the place to be.So we few, travel the river of life, all wet in His water so sublime, and they even forgive me if in my poems,  I fail to make things rhyme.

I like the message, I enjoy reading poetry even though I'm no poet.

Another fine offering with a great message in each line...even without rhyming...it's the timing that counts to keep the rhythm going!!
