The measure of a man
It's not brute strength or intelligence
How you look, or what you wear
That determines the measure of a man
It's simply: Does He Care ?
Not for himself or for for his spouse
His kids or familily, too
but ,rather for those who are without
For them what will he do?
It's easy to get lost in our selves,
to look the other way
When someone reaches out for help
To stop the hurt and pain
Sometime's it's not but money
To help them through hard times
But it seems, a whole lot more often
Some love, they're tryin to find
A sypathetic ear
some time with someone spent
means more than just mere money
When a helping hand we,ve lent
It's hard to look past ourselves
The mission fields' so wide
To overecome our selfishness
Our ego and our pride
But when our lives are over
The countin's all been done
A crown you'll wear for those you helped
For each and every one
No it's not brute strenght or intelligence
That makes or BREAKS a man
But just to do for others
Whatever that he can
