I, was invited, by, a gal I know, to go with her to church!
I told her I always feel at home in: HIS, house,
but must ask your first,
what kind of church do you attend,
does it stand on His Word?
She looked at me like I was nuts, said:
that would be absurd!
We, all know, that won't work
The Bible, don't keep up with the times.
Why, it would have us, believing,
that we can't trust, our own,
mind.
Oh NO, I go, to a church,
that doesn't teach or preach;
but rather shows us that:
our spirit, is divine, we need not give up, one bit
of our selves , in us, nothin's, outa reach.
You'll love madam Rue, she's such a hoot.
The girls all say they wish, they looked her, too.
Bottom line, you'll have some fun,
and laugh a little,
as well.
Come on and say you'll go, it'll be swell.
What of prayer, for that, where do you go?
I pray a lot, so that's somthin
I'd like to know.
According to what you've told me,
bout what you believe and do.
If, I see myself in trouble,
I'm to pray: to, Madam Rue.
I think I'll pass, and leave it there,
I don't wish, to offend,
But I'm the type of guy, who believes,
the Bible, and on that, I don't, bend.
OK, But after church,
Can I come over, for a while,
And tell you all my troubles,
I spoke, of, the other day.?
Sherry, told, me that you always,
know just what to say!
That You always seem to have the answers,
that send others away, feelin a whole lot better,
she said, you'll, help me face, my troubles,
make them go away!
Well, sure you can. and Sherry's right
I will listen,
to all you have to say,
I'll, try to, console you, and direct your paths,
in a new and meaningful way!
But, first I gotta tell ya,
It's not me your comin to see.
But the One, that Loves you best,
wants you to live, eternally.
And in His Word, is where,
we'll find the answers, to your troubles,
and your doubt,
Without, goin to the Bible, you might as well,
go see, Madam Rue.
Cause that's the difference tween us,
I know where to go,
and HE knows, what to do
And when we find the answers,
as we surely will, I'll take your hand,
in mine, and, then we'll begin to Pray.
Not to another human,
But to He, who came to: Save!
Only He can answer prayer,
and we, all, need lot's a help,
if , all our troubles, we're to, shake.
But realize my friend, if you come to see me,
The Bible and lot's a prayer,
is the medicine;
I'll have you take!
Two doses of His Loving Word,
and heartfelt Prayer, too.
With someone who believes,
and will share the Way, with you.
That's why, I keep on, getting sent, folks, just like you,
who think they know God, and go to some, church, too.
but haven't found any Peace, or, any, surety.
Cause their god, is really, just themselves,
and when all is said and done,
and, there's nothin,
left to do.
They've no one to turn to, but themselves,
or a, self made prophet,
like your,
Madam Rue.
So yes, come on over, just know what to expect,
know what I will do. I'll put your hand in His,
no, man, will ever do
If you'll but see, That, you, can't count on: me, Madam Rue,
a, Paul, a Gloria or, even, a helpful, Tim.
Jesus, is the, ONLY answer,
and, if you come to me, remember:
I'm, but the quarterback, and I, can run only run with it,
so, far,
then: ALWAYS:
either, hand it off,
or, pass, the ball to:
HIM.
