What, would we do without them???

Poem Artwork

Yesterday, I, woke,

went out and found,

my 4runner:

broke.
A solenoid, I been ignorin,

finally, wouldn't connect, the:
key, to the:
battery.

It won't then, start!

So there I,

sat,

no way to get,

where I was sposed to, be:

at!

My truck, I'd loaned to a friend,
who, needed it more than:
me.
So here I sat,
no way to get from:
A to B.

But, fore, too long, Skip came by;

said: where in the world were,
you?
He won't carry a cell phone,

tho, I keep tryin to get him
to.
I said: I woulda called,
but you were already there.

It's gonna be fine, I called a tow

truck.

But, they can't come til thursday.

Just my:
luck!

Well, he proceeded to call, Jodie,
his lovely bride, and my friend,

too.

Told her I'd be driven him home in his truck,
did, she have any plans?-
No,
said: she'd be in:

town.

He told her that they'd share one car,
as Art's was broken,
down.

So today, I'm getting round, just fine.
Goin here and there, an doin this and,
that!

What would life be without your friends?
I can't even begin to imagine!
And to them, I take off my
hat!
And a whole lot more,

Too.

Cause without friends it wouldn't be any fun,

and,  when you, really, need them,
they ALWAYS, come: shinin,

THROUGH!!!

A wonderful tribute to friends! Indeed, how often would our life be so much worse if it wasn't for our friend support!
