Now, when a friend and I get together, If one of us has a hurting heart Because Life flew overhead And pooped on either of our heads; Or if a person’s soul is singing a song About a bouquet of blessings received, One of us will say to the other “Here, have half.” It tastes good, and sharing makes everything better.
Ah, if only that were true, Robert. It is true enough that having a friend who can help you over the rough spots is a help, however, it is very difficult going it alone. Very nice poetry.
