Dawn awakens
The morning sky;
Its amber globe
Reminds me of
A tasty scoop of
Orange sherbet
Resting on the cone of
Life.

While witnessing
The gradual shedding
Of Twilight’s blanket,
I think of you,
And quietly meditate
On our friendship
Unfolding like a rose
Newly emerged
From the earth.

Caring, sharing,
Living, giving,
Surviving, and thriving
Glisten from each petal,
Nourishing our lives
With the sweet dew of
Ongoing love.

Of such things
Are Heaven’s garden
Wonderfully made.
