One Poem of Love Can begin to heal A lifetime of scars And bruises Inflicted by the uncaring And the unknowing.
One Poem of Light Can cast away the shadows Of the self-enlightened And self-important, Who find it noble To darken others’ counsel With words without knowledge.
One Poem Can inspire the indifferent, Give hope to the despairing, And remind a dying world Just how much life remains therein.
