Remember



If tonight I am called away
To meet the One who created me,
Remember my love and weep not;
All I’m doing is changing addresses
To somewhere in your memories,
Where you can always reach me
Without getting a busy signal,
Returned snail mail,
Or a dropped e-mail connection.

As you live your days,
Remember that wherever you go,
There I am,
Smiling at you in the sun’s rays
When you’re happy,
Or weeping with you through raindrops
When you’re sad.

When you trip on the sidewalk for no reason,
That’s me playing a joke on you;
When the wind blows into your ear,
It’s me whispering a new secret to you
From a hill somewhere in Eternity.

Whenever you feel alone and lonely,
Remember me – and know
That you’re not alone.
