I stare at a grey-haired Lady,
Some advanced in years,
Harking back to those days,
I suffered from such malady;
She drove Me almost to tears,
Not acceptant of my stifled ways,
Liking Me with no excitement.
Now she gazes at Me with dread,
Believing my Interest gone;
She still remains my daily bread,
Her memory always making Me strong.
I see her body with greater weight,
Eyes tired with years of stress;
Knowing I will always share her fate.
