Mankind's future lies in exploring the heavens. The stars today are to us as North America was to Christopher Columbus in his day. If only we could overcome the challenges of this earthly plane. Well done Ron

Let's certainly hope that something lasting comes from humanities efforts in space. The more I read about it, however, the more dark matter occupies me more than the stars. That dark non-radiant stuff that comprises a substantial portion of the universe. They say that exotic dark matter accounts for 82.5 percent of the universe's matter, and 23.3 percent of the universe's total content, most of which is not matter at all. Won't belabor this. Fascinating, though, to say the least. we know so much and so little. Reminds me of the saying, 'the more you know the less you know.' Good work, Ron. Peace ...

What would be the purpose of only life on Earth when there are other planets,the Milkey Way,billions of stars...there is something out there! Great write,Ron.

Nice poem Ron. Yes, we'll get there. The question is what surprises will we find.

Well written poetry, Ron, and I have not the slightest doubt that the stars are within our reach. We have been, as you say, to the moon, and even further. We used a robot on Mars looking for life form, I think it was Mars, maybe Saturn.

As your poem alludes, existence is eternal, even though life as we know and understand it may not be the means by which we shall enjoy the next iteration of our universe's master plan.
