I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU IF OUR EXISTENCE DEPENDED UPON MAN BUT BECAUSE GOD IS STILL VERY MUCH IN CHARGE...I'M KEPT IN PERFECT PEACE BECAUSE MY MIND IS STAYED ON HIM(IS 26:3). GOD HAS PROVEN HIMSELF TIME AND TIME AGAIN...ITS OVER WHEN HE SAYS ITS OVER. I'M THINKING BACK ON THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF 1940'S AND A CLOSER CALL...2008 WHEN WE THOUGHT WE WERE THROUGH FINANCIALLY. BUT HE BROUGHT US OUT AND UP. FOR THOSE OF US WHO LIVE IN THE HOUSE BUILT WITH THE REJECTED 'STONE'...THE 'WOLF' HAS NO CHANCE. THANKS FOR SHARING. Ron I like this rendering. It is for me a poetic version of Stephen Foster's 'Hard Times'. "For too many years you have lingered around my cabin door, oh hard times come again no more". Certainly the tale of many weary folks at this time. Jon Michael

how true and it has always been that way. I am always wondering why, for example, does it take forever for the oil/gas companies to lower the price but hesitate not even for a second to raise the prices overnight and keep it there using every excuse in the book. That applies to just about everything else. The middle income earners are not really in the middle as the lines in the sand have shifted making them below par with the income earners of yesteryear

PS: Even the wolf in the wilderness is in dire straits today - our so called 'leaders' have taken away his Endangered Species status - and he is now being gunned down everywhere.

...beautifully written...very honest...profound poetry that have the potential
to motivate for some real changes...nourish people's potential...yet...in its
own way...the motivation's like a morning shower...doesn't last...unless taken
every day....

NB: ...there are places in this advanced world that respect...human basic
rights...giving good education...for free...to benefit the nation/world/humanity
and the time spent at University/College...adds to the estimation for later in life
retirement's income........so is also...the children-bearing time.....

You just described my life. I truly do not know how average people can afford groceries. And everything has gone up each and every year for as long as I can remember, except wages that match. There are really two causes: first the greed of the super rich, and secondly, over population, which no politician would ever mention.

You cut right through the b.s. and straight to the truth. The heart and soul of this country is being extinguished little by little. I think the tea party is the worst thing that's happened to this country in my lifetime. That and Fox news. A damn good write. This might be your best yet.

The wealthy 20%, and particularly the mostly anonymous 1%, don't care, except to protect their interests and continue to buy the government, stripping the average working person's ability to get ahead. Most by working a normal job (perhaps 60% of us are not outstanding in any way, just normal) and following the demands of an employer.

The idea that everyone can be an entrepreneur and get ahead that way is preposterous. It takes a lot of imagination, luck, some skills, or at least partners with skills, initial capital, and good money management to start a business and become successful. As a former business professor, I know that most startups fail and that most wealth is simply inherited. By stripping regulations designed to protect people from employers, unions, and other protections for the general population as a whole, the rich run government cronies have created basically a slave labor state.

Education is no longer valued and shifting technical skills may or may not be the key to a good wage. Some serious thinking has to be done by all of us if we are going to leave prosperity for our children and grandchildren.

You pretty much called it like it is, Ron. We are nearing totally collapse of many major companies I feat. No fear, the government will bail them out. There, then is another problem. Sad day are sure to come, buddy, I agree.

So true, Ron , everywhere the story is the same, recession, growth, change of governments, happen and go. Sometimes that is why I happily feel, at least for oneself, most of one's life is over... It is like passsing a life lone exam Jk Roseline
