Calliope has indeed given passion to your pen.
I've seen that time and time again.
In prose and poetry and all of your art,
She gives you fuel to drive your art.
Ah, she draws my words of rhythm even in my review!
THANK GOD FOR 'CHOICE'...FOR HOWEVER WE PERCEIVE OUR 'MUSE', INDEED, WE EITHER WAIT PATIENTLY FOR IT'S RETURN OR...IMPATIENTLY 'STEW' AT IT'S 'SEEMING' ABSENCE . THANKS FOR SHARING, RONALD. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
I have to agree with this "muse-ual" usage as I, like everyone that writes, finds it to only come occasionally & when it does one has gotta grab it with both hands and hang on tight, lest it will escape without so much as a fair thee well...-e-
"Shapely figure, Sweet scent, Flowing locks," A bit chubby too. There was once a time, in centuries past, when men worshipped (and gave great honor to) the nine muses. Clio. Melpomeni. Ourania. Euterpe. Erato. Calliope. Terpsichore. Thalia. Polymnia. Times certainly have changed though. An interesting take. r
This genre of wordsmithing I generally don't take to, but your construction and perfect use of the images was a delight. Don't let that muse fly too far away, my man.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
