Just a rant over the problems I'm having technically
with sharing files and software between an older and
newer Apple products. When Apple started trying to be
more compatible with Microsoft Windows and added
security features, the troubles began. Just like its
namesake eventually gets full of worms, decays and
falls, so do giant companies like Apple.

Apple

The Devil tempted Eve,

with this forbidden fruit,

only grows in temperate zones,

not in Eden's tepid heat.

Placed upon the head,

of his beloved son Walter,

William Tell shot his crossbow bolt,

to save their lives, did not falter.

The New World had little fruit,

so Johnny Appleseed walked his route.

Traveled near and far across the land,

placing apple seeds in farmers' hand.

The Beatles needed a new brand,

for their production company At hand.

They chose Apple because it was sweet,

built an Apple Corps empire from the street.

Steve Jobs liked the simple treat,

started Apple Computer to keep the beat.

Apple Corps sued him multiple times,

Jobs just paid them off, kept his mimes.

Apple crossed the trillion dollar mark,

they ruled the world with their stock.

Their computer embedded in a phone,

allowed computers to chat and roam.

Constant upgrades are a real headache,

scams and security flaws to boot,

Apple's customer service is very friendly,

but their solutions aren't worth a hoot.

According to the laws of Parkinson,

have risen to their level of incompetence,

and join good old near dead Microsoft,

with their trying to do everything petulance.

Google, new kid on the block.

Now chasing Apple madly.

Who next will rock? You know?

Buy their stock.

INDEED, ALL MY KIDS AND GRAND KIDS ARE ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH APPLE. NOT ME, NEVER HAVE BEEN. AS SOON AS YOU GET USE TO ONE THING THEY COME UP WITH SOMETHING NEW THAT CHANGES WHAT USE TO BE. IT'S JUST LIKE YOU SAID SOMETIMES TRYING TO STAY ON TOP TAKES AWAY FROM THE PERFECTION THAT IS ALREADY ACHIEVED AND BEGINS TO MESS WITH THOSE THINGS THAT ARE ALREADY STABLE AND WORKING JUST FINE. IN SHORT; IF IT'S NOT BROKEN DON'T OVER-FIX IT. AND JUST IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T PICKED IT UP YET...I LOVE MICROSOFT! THANKS FOR SHARING, RON. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Good rant Ron !

In the past, I had 3 different HP puters with Windows. All 3 were POS that kept getting viruses & crashing. In 2003, bought an iMac 11” iBook G4. It is still functioning well, 15 years later.

Previously, I had 4 or 5 Android cell phones, from various manufacturers, all drove me nuts with various & sundry repeated problems. In 2014, I bought an Apple 6S cell phone. It has served me well for 3.5 years now; however, it now needs a new battery.

It’s Battery Health has been reduced to only 70% now. This means that even if Charged overnite to supposed 100%, that 100% is really only 70%, then it loses its charge rapidly. When it gets down into the “teens” it sometimes goes “nuts”. The screen jumps uncontrolably from one App to another, as if some monstous virus has suddenly taken over. Must be then Powered down, rebooted, recharged, and start all over.

One must first make an appointment at an Apple Store, then show up, leave the phone there, supposedly they then run a Diagnostic, before installing a new battery. It supposedly costs $79, but their “Special” reduces tour payment to only $29 + tax !

After delaying this action for about a month now, I will “bite the bullet” & get ‘er done in the next day or so. The frustration when it goes “goofy” is such that you are totally unable to use the phone when it happens. It would be impossible to even use it to dial
911 for an emergency !!!

Peace - Dear Friend ✌🏼

An interesting take, Ron. I use ASUS. ASUS has vowed to make their products better than Apple. I like that kind of competition. Keeps everyone on their toes. We'll see what happens. Peace... r

Good poem! I heard today that every time someone turns on Apple, they get Google for searches. That sure tells you something. Google rules! I went with HP, but have had numerous glitches to deal with. My first computer would freeze up every now and then, right in the middle of typing a short story or playing a game. It's a love-hate relationship when you are using today's technology.

Phones, like iPhones or cell phones, are not to be constantly put next to your ear, as it may cause cancer to the brain. The solution now is to use earphones or headphones through communications with others. However, by communicating non-stop like some of the users there's got to be some damage to the brains to by using the earphones or headphones as well. We won't probably know until it is discovered.

It's a competitive world out there for the digital world, Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, Mac, and others, each putting out their upgrades constantly. My daughter bought an HP Laptop really cheap from the Shopper's Drug Mart for $349.00, even though she uses a Mac for her work daily. She thought for $349.00 it won't hurt to buy the darn thing. The laptop came with Windows 10, webcam, recorders, voice activation and other features and we thought it was a good deal, but holy mack, it took forever for Windows to update the machine, and it keeps giving out error messages! Finally, she decided to just return it to the store, so she phoned up HP to find out how to reset the laptop to a factory mode. The person on the phone said it might take 4 hours to reset the machine, but it took 7 hours!

Will never buy anything cheap again!

This is a good write, Ron, like many of your poetry you dig deep and allow your followers to read to read and agree or disagree. Of course I'm not like that that when you delve into political poetry. Heh.Heh Loved this one very, very much.

Oh, if only the digital world could find peace. Yes, I too have had a few challenges with cross-relating iPhone with Mac, and older Mac to brand new one, but I've not yet reached the level of frustration I achieved almost daily with PC products for over 40 years before converting to Apple products. My biggest complaint is the release of new operating system (Moave now) without knowing whether the new system is compatible with all the apps the old system handled just fine. Too many times in the past, it wasn't until the 2nd or 3rd upgrade of an operating system that the compatibility question was solved. Still... compared to the PC world, I'm okay with extracting a few worms in the apple.
