Time does not stand still and the older I get as I watch my children and grandchildren grow I wonder sometimes if they will miss me as much as I will miss them for love mellows the years as it moves into the heart.

A good realization to come to, dear Karen. Make all the remaining moments count. We can never say "I Love You" too many times and we can never share too many smiles, hugs and kisses.

The realization hit me hard
My dad would not forever be around

How so sadly true. My Dad's been gone almost 7 years now, and I still miss him very much. And there have been many times over the last 7 years when I really could have used his sage advice.
