In moving, I was forced to review my life:
A homemade shield as I feigned knighthood as a child
Yellowed love letters and a note to a never born child
News clippings-noteworthy tales of my parents, my kids and myself
Four hand written pages from my dad
Explaining the divorce and his undying love for our mom
Record albums of my musically determined mother
Others’ the result of hours of tortuous childhood practices
Tassels made from beloved horse’s hair
With a child written label telling each ones’ name
Baby blankets and blessing gowns
Cherished tokens of the only unconditional love I have known
Photographs upon photographs
Proof that a specific moment in time
Existed and can now, from memories larder
Be brought back to life with a smile or maybe a tear
enjoyed....
nice work, Karen...

YOU have been Blessed deeply, your father took the time to write out his feelings and you still have it. Amazing!

How so very true, Karen. Although moving is usually such a big hassle, the treasures we eventually find I think far outweigh all the trouble. And may your treasures bring lots of smiles.
