Step With Care

Step with care upon the pathways of your life,

For as you travel, your footsteps you leave behind.

And upon them the legacy for others to see,

For paths do cross and others are touched.

They see your spirit in the footfalls of your soles,

The lightness in your step when the trail was lit with sunshine,

And the deep and sluggish puddles made,

As you pulled yourself through the quagmires before you.

In walking where you’ve trod,

And seeing you have persevered,

Those sojourners who follow the lead you have taken,

Will push harder and further to reach a grand destiny,

Because they were indeed, inspired by your step.
