For I think that bluebirds live there,
Where God's praises always ring!

Are there bluebirds up in heaven?
Do you often watch them fly?
They brought you so much pleasure here,
Where you lived in days gone by!

Those little messengers in song
Show a glimpse of heaven's hue;
I think you must enjoy them still --
God's masterpiece dressed in blue!

I think God called some lovely birds
To live there in heaven, too,
To share His Songbird Symphony
With beloved friends like you!
