Reader, forgive me for the X line. Any better suggestions for that one?
As bright as the stars that are shining above,
Beauty's reflected in a family's love;
Caring for others who proudly share our name,
Dividing the work, never shifting the blame;
Ever respecting the rights of each other,
Family ties bind every sister and brother.
Guarding the ambience essential for all,
Home provides a shelter, lest someone should fall.
In time of upheaval or wearisome test,
Jaded confrontations arouse undue stress.
Knowing that home is a place of calming rest,
Love will always conquer, proving God's way best.
Mother to nurture and father to provide;
Never giving up, they stand by your side.
Over the family, they protect from harm;
Peace and encouragement all foes will disarm.
Quiet seclusion with family or friend,
Renewing faint spirits, secure to the end.
Safe and accepted, relationships can grow,
True to their legacy that others may know:
United in purpose, together we stand;
Values strong to guide us, we walk hand-in-hand.
Wending towards the future unseen by us now,,
X marks the goal we endeavor to endow.
You are my dear sister, my brother, my own;
Zealous, we're defending this haven, our home.
Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it....
Psalm 127:1a
Blessings,
Christine
You have created a work of true rudimentary relevance here, and I think your "X" is already eXcellent, as is this entire piece - most especially, is your eXcellent heart for our LORD!
