Or maybe it's just "humor." Another tribute to a certain feline Lebowski/Conan the Barbarian.
Bob in a tree,
Bob in a tree,
He toothy smiles
At you and me,
The squirrels all say
Don't you visit me!
When they see
Bob in a tree
Bob at the door
Bob at the door
When his mouth is full
His diction is poor,
Muffled with chipmunk,
Please! Bring me no more!
I’m every day begging
Bob at the door.

Cute and fun! I'm not normally a cat person, but my neighbors have the most awesome cat who has indeed brought me little "gifts" ... usually of the rodent variety.
Love it, and brings back memories of an old Tom cat we had when our kids were young who would prowl all night and leave us similar treasures such as dead birds or field mice on our front doorstep.
When Bob brings that mouth full of chipmunk, he's saying that you are part of his family and he wants to do his part in feeding everyone. You have been adopted. Now if he quits trying to feed you, worry. He may be getting a divorce.

If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
