There Is No Answer

I dove down into the dark muck

Trying to break free from feeling stuck

My fears pulled me to and fro

Keeping me in limbo

The black baggage that hung around

Left me cold, gagged, and bound

While thrashing about to find an answer

It dawned on me to let it flow out the sewer

Just walk away

Leaving it forever at bay

This is a profound poem, Liz. Sometimes walking away is the only way to make peace. Hugs to you:)

Baggage does that, for sure. An eloquent way of expressing it, Elizabeth.

Where once we find ourselves in a situation that seems unfix-able, Walking away can be the only solution to sanity. Nicely done.

Great poem, Elizabeth! We would all do well to let go of some of our baggage!

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
