Boy, I remember the day I saw my Mom in me. It was truly depressing until I remembered that I have many of her wonderful qualities. It isn't so bad getting old afterall.
We all age Elizabeth but I refuse to get old, for I believe we are only as old as we chose to be. We have five children and nine grandchildren, I have a birthday coming up in a few weeks and I will be just another year older in years, Thanks for the great write that made me think.
You expressed this so well, Elizabeth. It is scary, the first time you look in the mirror and really see your age. I love the note of hope at the end, and remember, not older...BETTER!
