My heroes are larger than life
They will never fade away
Not one plays a professional ball game
They’re not acting when they live their life
They are there on the front line, everyday

Consider our Policemen
As they are fighting for our freedom
Apprehending criminals that live to do harm
Protecting our children and our neighborhoods
They are there on the front line, everyday

Consider our Fireman
As they are fighting for our safety
He puts out the fires that threaten us
Pulling a victim from a burning building
They are there on the front line, everyday

Consider our Doctors, Paramedics, and Nurses
As they are fighting for our well being
They mend broken bones and hearts as well
Saving life and providing hope to the afflicted
They are there on the front line, everyday

Consider our Teachers of every grade
As they are providing a wealth with endless possibilities
Teaching reading, writing and social skills
Educating each child so they can prosper
They are there on the front line, everyday

Consider our Volunteers of every kind
As they provide their services without charge
Holding a hand, delivering a meal is reward enough
Without them we could not survive
They are there on the front line, everyday

Consider our Parents
As they have sacrificed unselfishly
Providing love, care and happiness
Comforting us when life doesn’t go our way
They are there on the front line, everyday

I consider my heroes and what they mean to me
As they are not millionaires, or perfect saints
They living right here among us without measure
So, my heroes will never fade away
They are there on the front line, everyday
