Not to long ago, I stood in the presence of God
I feared the unknown
My greatest fear in 28 years
Were pregnant my wife gushed.

As I stood looking into the quiet blue sky
A tiny puff of a cloud lowered from up in the air
My heart whispered, Behold he cometh.
My eyes tired, my knees buckled.

I tried to pray but couldn’t get out the words
My soul was still, in reverence
I stood in awe before this pure white cloud
I was awe struck as I stood before it.

The cloud began forming and turning
Something was going to happen to me
As the cloud slowed and then quickly stopped
A perfect J had been formed.

My heart spoke to me with confidence.
“Jerry” your God “Jesus” is speaking to you
“Everything will be fine because you are mine
Every problem I have encountered ends when I whisper J.

My baby was born quickly, with little pain for mom
I entered into a new career just after she was born
Financial problem solved, time to be at home improved
I was able to be with her for comfort and love every day.

Days flew quickly by, school began
She was transforming before my eyes
I wanted her to stay little for me.
I wanted her to grow up strong for her.

Months, years, grade school,
Middle School, High School,
Have formed her independence
Dad formed her heart and soul.

Brittany is maturing into a beautiful lady
I see the woman on her face and soul
I see the little girl in her heart
I see the love for me in her eyes.

I still pray outside looking into the heavens
My mind and soul still sees that beautiful J
God still sees my hearts desires
Brittany still sees my love for her in my eyes.
