On the verge, upsetting brink...

Poem Artwork

On the verge
Upsetting brink
So purely real
when a little heart sinks
A child’s cry...just about here
Poor little guy,
don’t hold your pout
Go ahead and cry out loud!
Sorrowful soul, just let it out!
Burst your tears
So all can hear
For so lorn
On the verge...
On the verge...
On the verge...of tears

As a man I had been on the verge of tears so many times but held back because of society's belief that men dont cry. Now, I go beyond the verge but still with restraint - e.g. hide my face with a hand at the end of Wuthering Heights (Lawrence Olivier/ Merle Oberon version)

This is so loving, Kimmy -- you've caught the essence of your image -- what a sad little face, and you just want to hug them!
Love,
CJ

On the verge is the most heartbreaking, IMHO. You know something has upset them and you don't want it to go on. Beautiful picture. Yours?
