Wow, Kimmy a very thought provoking write...reminds me of classic literature...Dante's Inferno..where those who were sentenced to hell suffered the consequences of the sins they committed while on earth! Great write my friend, very stirring, creative, and again...thought provoking! Enjoyed!

Descante's Inferno springs to mind here.
Sounds like a night as a thrown rune spent spinning round in a dark coldron, rescued only by the benevolence of a vacant, but still life sustaining Eden.
Distilled tendrils? - illumine my consciousness please.
