Ferdinand de Saussure was a Geneva-born Swiss linguist whose ideas laid the foundation for many of the significant developments in linguistics in the 20th century.
Saussure's most influential work, Course in General Linguistics (Cours de linguistique générale), was published in 1916.
The Course became one of the seminal linguistics works of the 20th century, not primarily for the content, but rather for the innovative approach that Saussure applied in discussing linguistic phenomena.
Its central notion is that language may be analyzed as a formal system of differential elements, apart from the messy dialectics of real-time production and comprehension

The curser blinks on my monitor and I can’t type! Anything won’t come to mind. . . Blank screens bother me and my fingers start tapping the key. . .? My eyes look ahead and my mind takes over. Let it go. . . Dammit!
They uttered obscenities in my face, and I briefly shut my eyes I can't write! Matter is not my opinion, and to study them only made me nervous . . .the explanation? I examined what was before me, and lost myself anywhere I looked A carafe of cottonmouth’s, lie still and I bode for time. Sanctioned? My compassion might save me, maybe . . .but, I think my support systems' been a little shaky Make believe enterpriser’s, running away from their enterprises drinking and smoking their pot, the snakes!
Simply surrender, and shout some six letter word back!

Kimmy friend ... you and me could be brother and sister. You describe perfectly what I often go through myself. Writing is a bloody mystery, isn't it. I really relate to this write. Does that six letter word have anything at all to do with your sixth sense? Everyone on this site should read this.
