At age twenty five
I asked my dad
If he could say,
"I love you" to me
He said instead,
"Of course I do"
But I wanted to hear it
It wasn't enough to
Assume it
So he did
And then I could carry on
Until the next need
Consumed me
my brother could never say i love you so my sister and i just kept telling him we loved him until her finally got over his hangup with the words and now he can say it sometimes...not alot
