We stand at the window watching
the sun in its descent as the
sky changes from azure blue
to vibrant shades of red and gold
anticipating the impending night
as twilight drops it’s soft cloak
I feel the gentleness in your touch
as your arms go around me
pulling me towards you
with magnetic force
resting against your chest
I feel your heart beating
hear your whispered words
feel your head rest next to mine
though a thousand miles away
you’re as close as my next breath
and it’s in that moment that I know
nevermore will I be alone.

Regardless of where you may be found in love this beautiful masterpiece can be
Still Living on my Feet is the follow up to Tichaona Chinyelu’s first book, In the Whirlwind, which was rooted in a sense of hard-hitting revolutionary black love. However, in this sophomore effort, Tichaona brings the revolutionary essence from deep
