Like most poets, I write from motivation through experiences. I recall my own youth when "more" was never enough--not material things--but spiritual quests. I was a searcher, aways looking for that great secret of life that spelled peace, happiness, and love. Only later in life did I realize it was all around me.
Tender Meanderings of Youth
Wait young friend!
Child of youth so pure.
Why do you wander so?
In search of self to be sure?
Must you question all that is?
And argue all that is not?
Must your mind puzzle so
On all that God has begot?
Why are you so confused?
Causing life to turn so cold.
Why must you be so miserable?
When beauty could fill your soul.
Look yonder young friend
At nature’s sweet terrain.
See the pretty buttercup
Drinking from the rain.
And gaze at that mother bird
Feeding her young in nest.
Is that not a pleasant sight
To guard you against unrest?
There! There falls a star from high
Streaming a trail of light.
Open your eyes sweet youth.
Does not wonder fill your sight?
Drink, drink, my youthful friend
Until you fill your soul
And you’ll find no need for misery
In a world filled with riches greater than gold.
Oooh so beautiful Jeanette...reminds me of how God tells us through His word that we shouldn't worry about tomorrow that He will care for us, even the tiny sparrow's needs are supplied. I believe that he means for us to believe and trust that He will make a way. Your write is a powerful voice even though it was written over twenty years ago, it still brings forth a clear and wise message, many young and old alike should read this and take head. Great write my friend.

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
Beauty paints the lines "Tender Meanderings of Youth", and wise thoughts make its strophes.
