Where, Oh Where?

I have a need to write, and when I have nothing to write, I write about that.

Where, Oh Where?

Where, oh where has all the poetry gone?
The beautiful words once living inside my head;
Where did all the creative images go?
Has time and aging declared my poetry dead?

The glorious beauty I once freely observed
From pleasurable scenes about the great earth;
Fabulous nature greening, colorful flowers blooming
Have faded in the mental factory of rejuvenating rebirth.

Once poetic words flowed through my head
Like a clear gurgling stream rippling swift
Joy in visions from the spirit of my Muse
Abundant poetry thriving from the Muse’s gift.

Where, oh where has all the poetry gone?
Has my Muse deserted me and my craft of love?
Have the spirits that guide the beauty of my pen
Flown far away as if on the wings of a windswept dove?

Through my pen, I seek a positive direction of hope
A world filled with decency, good, and all that is right
To have an inspirational voice that touches the populace
A worthy voice dedicated to man’s sacred light

I yearn for the expressive and loving words of my pen
Which seeks the wise voice of my Muse’s artistic call
Desiring, wanting, needing a rebirth of poetic music
That offers faith, expectation, and promise to all.

Jeanette, I have been where you are...more than once:) But from reading what you have written on The Den today, I don't think that "block" will hang around too long!

Jeanette,
I feel your cry..I too am at a quiet time with my muse..perhaps we are suppose to take a break and rejuvenate...Do something for yourself, and I am sure you will be flowing once more...
To life, and to all those beautiful things that happen when you are looking for your muse...
Peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"

We all have those months, days, years where we just don't have any juice.

But this reads very well - you did write this one? :-)

You still have it......
