My uncle does genealogy for a living, so I'm fortunate to have my family tree intact and thoroughly done. Quite the endeavor you've set out for yourself! I enjoyed this quick glimpse into your family. Love the last line - such a quaint feel to it. Love and hugs,

I really enjoyed this poem. I also do genealolgy and find it facinating! My dads mother was, Mary Ellen Murphy.She was born out side of Dublin in 1872. Her mother was Beatrice Meehan, father , Thomas Murphy. I never have found out much about them, but have my mothers side and a part of my dads side done, plus other families in our lineage......M

Great poem Jeanette - However, from my experience anybody trying to find ancestors in Ireland will more than likely come up against a brick wall- unlike England records can only be found in churches. . .

We tried to find out in Ireland about my mother and fathers parents and ran into a road block as they could not find them. We all should keep a family tree while they are fresh and easy to track the records.

The folk lore of generations past touches my heart.
