Back in my village
in the summertime
actually we used to
call it a donkeytime
coz that was the time
when the horses and donkeys
came down to carry the rations
for the close-winter.
We were the running around kids
really excited and happy to meet
our four legged friends.
We used to inform each other
the details of the donkeys and horses
our motive was to track
the actively can run donkeys.
Soon after they were freed from their harness
by their scary looking owner.
We followed them to the corner
and took turns to mount on them for a ride.
Some of them gave us a good ride some didn't
they must probably have been tired.
We supposed.
But we weren't!
Poor thing!
They took us around and above the fields
sometime they threw us to the ground
making us angry with mud on our mouth
and sometime we wacked them with sticks
galloping on the donkey we had our fun.
Sometime their scary owner chased us
shouting madly and throwing stones at us
for taking their donkeys for the ride
it made us angry too
for them coming in between their donkeys and us
so we came in between their donkeys and them
by taking their donkeys for a ride a little futher from the place where they were kept.

I love the atmosphere your words create and the emotions they express. Children have a uniquely special and different way of percieving the world that is often forgotten when they grow up, yet you capture the essence of childhood fun, innocence, and sweetness very well in this retrospective piece. Thankyou,
lots of love,
Anna

Kids will be kids, but I must say it was a more innocent time when we look backk on those never again days . . . Enjoyed . . .

Beautiful memories. Those days are over alas. Now we have vehicles that kill with ovderspeeding and not a sign of some form of manners on the road. Victor
