Pens and pencils--such devious crooks, Stealing words from hearts--putting them in books. No caper is too big or too small for them, It doesn't matter if it's a novel, a story, or a poem. All these words--just so easy to fence, For those crooks--those pencils--those pens.

A delightful little poem about how we steal words we use. I have heard it said that anything we write has already been written before by someone else. That is probably true for 70% of what's written out there.

I prefer to write an all new territory, where there are no previous bestsellers to copy or sequel.
