Poem Artwork

Markings of another place and time,
A ship's log filled in line by line.
Names and dates that show,
Immigrants leaving behind everything they know.
Forever recorded for all generations to see,
Each entry is part of the family tree.
So many stories are hidden between these scribbled lines,
Those that have been lost and those that will be many more times.
