A Single White Rose

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Today as i stood
beside your grave,
I broke down and
cried a million tears.

~*~

There were many things
that i needed to say.
With all of my heart
i knew you could hear.

~*~

I placed a catus
plant beside you.
For i remember how
you enjoyed them so.

~*~

I thought of all the
sweet kind things
that you used to do.
Such as eachday you
would hand me a
single white rose.

~*~

I felt your spirit
within my soul.
In my heart i heard
your gentle whispers.

~*~

Such warmth through
my body began to flow.
For i felt that your
spirit truly was here.

~*~

It broke my heart
to walk away alone.
For i felt as though
i were leaving you behind.

~*~

Much to my amazement
when i arrived home,
A single white rose
upon my pillow i would find.
