The time has come to kiss
Yesterday's memories goodbye.
I need to finally set it free
For it has caused me such pain
So deep down inside.

I have to accept the fact
That you and I will never be,
What we one were in the past.

Yet, I felt if I hung on
To our precious memories,
That it would in some way
Finally bring you back.

I held on so tight to a dream
One that would never come true .
A dream that you would
Forever share your life with me.

There is nothing that I can do,
If it's just not there for you.
So I must let go and set it free.
As I so somberly say
