Oh how well I remember
Our wedding day,
Tears were in our eyes
As you slipped on my
Finger a band of gold.

~*~

Precious vows we so
Lovingly made,
Promising to forever
Love and behold...

~*~

You made a vow that
Never would you cheat.
That forever I would
Be Your only one...

~*~

Oneday you decided that
You wanted to be free.
Feeling so shattered
Didn't know how I would
Ever move on.

~*~

For you turned my world
Totally up side down.
As you said a new love
You had found...

~*~

Shattered were all of
My hopes and dreams.
For together I thought
We would grow old.

~*~

I broke down and cried
As I took off my ring.
Now within my treasure box
Sits the band of gold...
