against the world...

For I felt as though I were

had been pushed aside.
Feeling empty & so unloved.

We were foolish & young
and so deprived.
Both desperately searching
for this thing called love...

I was strong & courageous
as long as I was with you.
For I knew that there wasn't
anything -
that I could not survive...

Then suddenly one day,
God had called upon you.
Yet it felt as though
I were the one who died.

Never had I felt so
completely alone.

After all of these years
being left on my own.
Still I carry this
tremendous torch inside.

Oh so many seasons
have come and gone.
Yet, my life seems
to be frozen in time...

Stuck within the past,
Can't move on without you.
