My Heart's Only Key







It was so long ago
since you said goodbye.
But lately you have been
on my mind...

~*~

Often I wonder what has
become of you.
Though i'm sure you're
with somebody new...

~*~

No matter what we
may now feel,
I know once upon a time -
we had a love so real...

~*~

How I struggled to hide
my tears deep inside.
On that dreadful day
when you said goodbye...

~*~

It was your choice that
we should part.
Guess there was no love
for me - left inside of
your heart...

~*~

No - I could not allow
my feelings to show.
But - You hurt more than
you will ever know...

~*~

I wonder how it would be
if we ever met once again.
Would there still be
a spark deep within?

~*~

Or perhaps through time
you've forgotten me.
Altho' you've taken
with you -
"My Hearts Only Key!"
