The poem, based on their beliefs of dream scrying

I'm having so many travails
I must call on my god
I will sleep in a temple and wail
When I awake in the morning
I'll be ready to call on the Priest
"Master of the Secret Things"

I will consult him for interpretation
He will ask questions to see
Was my dream a result of ritual
Did my dream contain warnings
Were gods demanding some kind of action
I hope I will get satisfaction

Dream Scrying is very demanding
I have not spoken to anyone since dawn
I have been silent since the sun set
I had no alcohol, food, or sex
I took my warm bath
I anointed my temples with olive oil
my oil lamp isn't red has no inscription

I wrote my gods name on a white strip
of linen, ink mixed with myrrh,I put
the linen into a wick inserted into the
oil of the lamp, the lamp is on bedstand
I'm now kneeling before lamp, drawing
the ink image of my god on my left palm

I sure hope that worked(that's me hoping;-)that is the ritual for scrying.
