The same sensitivity that makes us feel sadness at the state of the world at the same time shows us the the beauty & meaning beyond. Can so relate as so can others! A two-sided coin for sure. Beautiful, introspective write...

A Heart in Two Parts is like blocking out time on our calendars for heavy thinking. A duality for sure. At the same time we don't want people competing for our time and attention, we want them to show up because we are lonely. Days like this, we need to lay out a program of renewing acquaintances and meeting new acquaintances and also have a special-emphasis goal of learning a new word from the dictionary, and then squeeze that word into our conversations. Time use is a highly personal, individual matter of choice and we must be the final judge of how we want to share our time, Eileen.

The paradox of life, ET. I understand what you are saying. Sometimes I think I live in my own little world, but then I think, Well, they know me here! Thank goodness we can always find bright spots and sunshine, even if only in our hearts. Wonderful write!

oh this i should keep, yes..
it has been so long, but...
oh, this poem, it, with its 'happy'/sad/ heart ...
this is all too true, I so relate in my way and you are an Inspiration in showing me that, well, that with all this speaks of so eloquently, so painfully much truth...well, you soar with hope as you wander down through the depth of this world/life and find such hope in spirit and more...
Oh, Thank You for this, sigh... you have such a way, this both affects me and inspires, oh to have the strength of spirit you give, here...the 'happy' heart side and, forgive, I ramble, but I Thank you

I am so right with you on this one, Eileen. Yesterday was the most piquant and poignant of days, so bittersweet that I hardly wanted it to end. So precious the connections remade and lost. But a shame it takes a funeral to bring your truths home to me afresh, amidst the busy, busy (doing WHAT, exactly??!!) lives that we all tend to lead. And yes, the reality too that in the CLOSEST of familial and friendship relationships there is also the duallism of enduring conflict... Passionate and powerful. Bless you and thank you. Kate xx
